Did you get a tax refund this year? Or did you have to come up with some cash to pay Uncle Sam? Either way, now’s a good time to review the taxes that are being withheld from your paycheck.
With a new tax law going into effect this year, the IRS has created a Withholding Calculator to help taxpayers do a “paycheck checkup”. By plugging in your estimated income and year-to-date withholding, along with other tax-related information, you can get an accurate estimate of how much more or less to withhold for the remainder of 2018. (It isn’t necessary to enter any information that identifies you personally.) Click here for the IRS withholding calculator.
